Manage CUNYfirst Account

CUNYfirst is the enterprise resource solution that allows CUNY students to move seamlessly through any and all CUNY campuses as they pursue their higher educational callings as well as connecting faculty and staff to tools to support their processes.

By consolidating and streamlining the multiple processes and systems across the CUNY campuses, CUNYfirst manages the daily activities of students, faculty, and staff through three main work pillars – Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management, and Financials.

Getting Started

Make sure to claim your CUNYfirst account by following the steps below:

1. Visit www.cuny.edu
2. Select Login>CUNYfirst
3. Choose New User
4. Enter your Personal Information as requested*

*You are only able to enter the last four of your social or a CUNY-assigned social. Please do not use your EMPLID.

Account Information

  1. Username and EMPLID – Record your EMPLID! From now on, it will be used to identify you in CUNYfirst and across campus. Also, please make a note of your CUNYfirst username (which includes your first dot last name followed by the last two digits of your EMPLID).
  2. Personal Information – Students may add/edit their Home, Mail, and Billing addresses through profile in CUNYfirst. 
  3. Apply for Graduation – Note: Only Seniors taking courses in their last term (semester) should apply for graduation.

Note: Student must contact the Registrar office to change their permanent address, name, date of birth and social security number.
